NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 17, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Grand County Courthouse. The Grand County Council will hold a public hearing to hear public comment on a Conditional Use application for Moab Giants Dinosaur Park, located on the corner of Highway 191 and State Route 313. This plan will include trails and educational buildings, applicant’s agent is Russell Planning and Engineering, 934 Main Avenue, Unit C Durango Colorado – 970-385-4546

PUBLIC NOTICE
GRAND COUNTY COUNCIL 2012 MEETING SCHEDULE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the Grand County Council's regularly scheduled 2012 open and public meetings. Meetings will be held monthly on 1st & 3rd Tuesdays, with one exception, at 3pm for administrative matters and reconvening at 7pm for public interest matters. Due to Elections, the first November meeting will be held the first Wednesday. Council Administrative Workshops, if needed, will be held on 5th Tuesdays at 3pm. All meetings will be held in the Council Chambers of the Courthouse at 125 East Center Street, Moab, Utah. Meeting dates, times and location are subject to change.

NOTICE
Grand County seeks volunteer committee members interested in the development and future of the Old Spanish Trail Arena (OSTA) to apply for the newly created Old Spanish Trail Arena Advisory Committee. Interested citizens and OSTA users are encouraged to apply. All positions are initially one-year or two-year terms beginning January 1, 2012.
Qualifications:
- Resident, in good standing, of Grand County
- 21 years of age or older
- Have the appropriate expertise when required by law.
- Agree to abide by the County's Conflict of Interest Ordinance.
Interested applicants shall complete the "Board, Commission, and Committee Certification and Application Form" available at grandcountyutah.net/pdf/BoardAppForm.pdf or at the Grand County Council Office. Completed, signed forms shall be emailed to council@grand.utah.gov or delivered to the Grand County Council Office, 125 E. Center St., Moab, UT 84532 by 5pm on Monday, December 5, 2011. GENERAL NOTICE TO CONTROL NOXIOUS WEEDS
Notice is hereby given this First day of February, 2011 Pursuant to the Utah Noxious Weed Act, Section 7, to every person who owns or controls lands in Grand County, Utah, that noxious weeds standing, being, or growing on such land shall be controlled and the spread of same prevented by effective cutting, tillage, cropping, pasturing, or treating with chemicals or other methods, or combination methods, or combination thereof, approved by the County Weed Supervisor, as often as may be required to prevent the weed from blooming and maturing seeds, or spreading by root, root stalks or other means.
Upon failure to comply with this notice, the owner or persons in possession of property upon which noxious weeds are present shall be deemed negligent and enforced control measures may be imposed at the discretion of county authorities. Expenses of control measures employed by the county shall be paid directly by the owner or person in possession of the property or shall constitute a lien on the property and become collectible by taxes.
