Thank you to the Friends of the Grand County Public Library
for providing funding for the reading challenge.
Based on the Every Child Ready to Read® practices of reading, writing, singing, talking, playing, and counting, this challenge contains one super easy-to-implement learning activity for each day in April. Activities include recommended books and nursery rhymes. Caregivers will learn simple and fun ways to help prepare their child to be ready to learn how to read and succeed when they start school!
To complete this challenge, children and their caregiver(s) will complete 12 or more early learning activities of their choice and read together for 4 or more hours between April 1-30. Logging activities and minutes is easy using ourReading Challenge Websiteor app.
Children/caregivers who register for this challenge will receive a gently used picture book and participants who complete the challenge may pick a reward from our early learning treasure box!
